In partnership with Foundation Center in New York, APRA GNY presents the Point on Prospecting (PoP) Talks, interactive conversations that feature experts from within the nonprofit community collaborating on an array of subjects. On Wednesday, March 1st, 2017, we will host a PoP talk focused on sharing the tools and resources to best understand and target the philanthropic interests of grateful patients and healthcare prospects. We will share examples of healthcare nonprofit-related prospect successes and pain points, and seek to learn best practices from each other.
As hospitals and health-oriented organizations grow (especially through hospital mergers and other consolidations), it has become even more clear today that fundraising is an essential hospital and organizational operation and that the development office has become a strategic partner at top levels of management.
Fundraisers and researchers alike must support key initiatives of our organizations, especially in the areas of medical student scholarships, capital and building campaigns and new science and research support.
In this roundtable discussion with a peer learning approach, gain insight from fellow colleagues in healthcare fundraising as to the unique set of opportunities and challenges in our sector. Understand how to engage your grateful patients, “friends of” your organization and other leadership into lasting philanthropic partners.
